Russia says to decide on Sila Sibiri 2 route soon
MOSCOW, Sep 6 (PRIME) – Russia is finishing laying out the route of the Sila Sibiri 2 gas pipeline to China, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said on Wednesday in a story he contributed to journal Energeticheskaya Politika.
"It is expected that the pipeline will run next to the cities of Achinsk, Krasnoyarsk, Kansk, Sayansk, Angarsk, Irkutsk and through the territory of the Buryatia republic (to the south of the lake Baikal) to reach the Russian state border near the town of Naushki," Novak said.
A 700 kilometer branch from Naushki to Ulan-Ude and Chita is also considered, he said.
